Children who take part in the Nurture Group at Fairfield Primary have had a wonderful week, they have had a visit from Holly who works for The Wildlife Trust. This was a follow up to their visit to Allonby Beach a few weeks ago. They counted the shark purses they found on the beach and the information has been added to a national survey. They also had a chance to observe some sea creatures that are found in the Solway Firth. This included crabs, starfish, anemones, whelks and sea snails. Holly was very informative about their habitat and how they adapt and survive. The children enjoy this experience immensely and had lots of wonderful questions to ask. As a thank you to Holly for all her help and guidance they dressed as pirates and sang her a sea shanty. They also wrote thank you letters. A great time was had by all.

As a Trust, we believe in ensuring all children fulfil their potential so we offer bespoke services to ensure that we cater for the needs of every child. The pastoral provision at Fairfield is a shining example of how we do this!
